You are what you eat, you probably heard this before and it’s not far from the truth. It’s crucial what you eat every day because you’re eating habits make a significant impact on how you look and feel. As we get busier, it gets harder and harder to eat a healthy meal. I am here to help you learn how to meal plan to make homecooked meals easier.
We are all busy, I don’t know one person who isn’t, and it is very hard to eat healthy in today’s world of processed “fast” foods especially while living a busy life. It is so very easy to grab and go, a bag of chips here or a microwaved burrito there, but with the right mindset and a little know -how you can do it!

The benefits of meal planning are many, but learning how to meal plan correctly can be challenging. Taking time to meal plan, shop, preparing ingredients and cook ahead can make your upcoming week much easier. It also gives you more control over all of the aspects of eating all week. Your food goes farther, and you get more for your money and who doesn’t want that?!?!
But getting started can be overwhelming. Here are some of my favorite things to do to get ready for the upcoming week.
Planning For the Week
Brainstorming is the first step, coming up with a menu is the hardest part well, for me anyways. You can ask family members what they want, which is helpful. You can look through cookbooks or go to online cooking sites to get ideas, or maybe you have dinners that are your favorites for the week. You could have a theme night like Taco Tuesday or Pizza Friday or Meatless Mondays. Its far better to have a plan than to hear the dreaded “what’s for dinner” at 6pm and try to figure it out.
Efficient Meal Planning
Meal planning takes a bit of effort up front, but it’s a total game-changer when it comes to healthy eating amidst the chaos of everyday life. It turns good intentions into actual meals, saving you from the stress of last-minute scrambling.
